I am a you.s.citizen marooned in the Philippines for 4 years with my Daughter now 7 and with me since birth legally adopted as an orphan 4 years ago.Her adoptive "mother"abandoned us 3 1/2 years after selling our home and everything we owned, absconding to the U.S.with the money. We are finally in the process of going home to Florida and want total custody and divorce. My Daughter and I have been through hell together and unless you have been a foreigner held here on limited income you could not fathom.I am on total physical S.S.disability and am not entitled to help from the U.S.Embassy-it's not like you see in the movies.I am a resident of Florida.Any help-advise is appreciated.Thank You

So when you get to the US, you will have to first live in Florida long enough to estabish residence. Then you will file for divorce and custody of the child. There is no such thing as "total" custody, there is legal custody and physcial custody. Even with both, the other party has a right to ask for visits

Also not sure what you mean by Embassy will not help you.
They give the same service to any US citizen
