I meet my girlfriend in Jan and things were wonderful. At the end of May I sold my house and went on a two week vacation with her. It was amazing. Upon our return she asked me to move in with her into her small apartment until I found another house to buy. All was terrific until my situation at work deteriorated in July and I decided that it was not smart to buy a house given the instability. In hindsight I should have moved out of her place then.

Things were OK with us until she asked me to move out because she needed her space. We had a lot of conversations and she reassured me that all was well and that we had moved in too soon and that having our own space would be good for us. A few weeks have gone by, and I have found a place and I am ready to move out. However, things are certainly not well between us and I have noticed that she has lied to me about going to work, etc. I did what nobody should ever do and read her emails and I can see that she is intimate with someone else. He has cooked her dinner while she was supposed to be at work, they correspond several times a day, etc. They are making plans to meet the day after I move out.

While that is happening she is acting like everything is ok: she kisses me hello and goodbye, cooks me dinner, asks me how my day was, etc.

When I saw that I felt a deep pain in my heart and decided that it is best to move out, not say anything and let her make her move. I am planning on stopping all contact once I move out. In the meantime I am pulling away a little bit until I move out next week.

My question is this: when I came home last night she was all friendly and asked me if I want to do something with her on Sunday. I said yes. Now I'm thinking that I should not do anything with her, minimize contact and get out. How should I handle it?

I would say NO. don't go! She's using you for when she has nothing better to do. Make your own plans. And tell her off

She's been caught cheating, whether she knows that you know or not. You definitely shouldn't have checked her emails, but what's done is now.

Do you still want to be staying in a relationship with someone who cheated on you?

Thanks for that. I know it.
