Hey, I'm 17 yrs old (male) and I'm trying to gain muscle mass and at the same time lose love handles and stuff like that, but in order to gain muscle mass I'm eating a lot (no junk food) and it seems contradictory to losing love handles because I do cardio and weightlifting, maybe I need to give it time?

When you say "eating a lot" what does this mean. Protein, fruits and vegetables? You also didn't mention how long you have been doing your routine. I does take time but if you have been doing it a while then you should be getting some results by now. I always found running to be the best way to get rid of excess weight. Pushups and Chinups are great for upper body building. It works the chest, back and arms. The weight training should put mass on your muscles. Make sure to alternate the major muscle groups and try to add some variety to keep yourself interested and to work all the muscle groups. You are also still young and need more time for your body to get to its full potential. Sounds like you are on the right track. Good for you for getting in shape. --- Ace
