Hello. I have a Dodge Intrepid 2.7 Engine SE.
I believe either my alternator died, or my starter is bad. I went out to my car, and the doors were locked (I don't lock them, I live in the middle of nowhere, and my car is parked out of sight) My trunk was open (Boyfriend claims his knee did not hit the trunk button, and my keys were hung up so the button on the keys wasn't hit either.) I ignored this, got in my car, turn key, get buckled, turn radio on, then proceed to try and start my car. Radio turns off, car does nothing. No click, no sound, nothing, but the ABS light turns on, and the brake light turns on along with check engine. I let go of key, radio turns back on, emergency lights go off. So, I replace the battery since well, not the first time my alternator has died, and it was near the end of that batteries life span anyway, it was cheap, and it wouldn't jump or charge.
Get back into car, turn key... nothing... no clicking... nothing. What is wrong with my car? I have already paid to get a new transmission two years ago, a new cooling housing unit and radiator, breaks, break pads, transmission, was saving up to replace the motor for my cooling fan since that's going... but now, this, after I was almost close to paying off the last repair bill. Please tell me what's wrong if anyone knows.
