Last night I believe I had my first paranormal encounter. I have never believed in ghosts prior to what I just witnessed. First thing I noticed was my bedroom was unusually cold compared to the rest of the apartment. I then had trouble sleeping. As I laid in bed I began to see orb like figures hovering over me. My mother passed away 4 years ago and for the first time I had an overwhelming feeling of her presence. Minutes later I noticed a vague human figure standing next to my new born's bed. The more I focused on it the more detailed it was to the point I swore I new it was her, but it scared me and as I tried to divert my attention elsewhere the image seemed to flicker in and out and then it was gone. Lastly I had a pulsating feeling in my hand like someone was squeezing it. Also the feeling that something was hugging me. I saw quiet a few different ghost like figures all of them were pretty detailed... everyone is telling me that it was just me hallucinating, but it seemed entirely too real to just be all in my head. I was wondering if I possibly had a real encounter? I also heard that usually ghost sightings are one single ghost is it possible to see multiple ghosts in one night?

First off, whoever said ghost encounters only happen one ghost at a time knows entirely NOTHING about it. Yes, these things can happen, and the way you describe your emotions during the experience makes me feel you were not sleeping or hallucinating. These are the encounters that confuse people. Sure it was scary and confusing, but in the end you saw not threat and possibly seem comforted by it. This is the danger of the spirit world... it is so easy to be deceived. Now I could go in to a long rant about the dangers of visiting spirits... but I can really sum it by saying that if we would follow the bibles example of handling spirits, we would quickly figure things out. By the biblical example I mean this, we are told to not believe a spirit just because they come to us, but to test them. If I were you and had this experience, I would have asked these spirits whether they can testify to Jesus Christ and Him born and died in the flesh for humanity. If they could testify to this, then I might be more inclined to have their visit... the problem is, I doubt this would have been the case. I think the Bible is clear enough that human spirits do not return after death. This is my advice and something I have found to be true. It's up to you to choose what to believe. I am always concerned when children are involved with any paranormal case.

If u saw your mom then it was mostlikly your mom. You said you had a newborn, she was checking on her grandbaby! Next time you see her you should try to talk to her.

And that is the danger of assuming what and who a spirit is. The bible tells us to test them for a reason... they aren't what they seem.
