New ignition his this is the flame sensor as well right would inproper location of ignitor/flame sensor cause the burner to light for few seconds then go out? What are some other troubleshooting measures? I have to bypass limit switch to get it to ignite?

I believe you answered your own question. If a flame is not detected within a very short period, the gas valve will shut off.
