My partner and I have been trying to get pregnant since 2009 I have been to see gyno who have started me on clomid as I'm not releasing eggs. I have had irregular periods in the past as well. We already have a 3 year old son but we want at least another one. This year I also had a laproscopy to have cysts removed. I was due to get my period on the 18th but on the 20th I started having either brown blood or brown discharge as I put a pad on but its not very much at all I probably don't need to be even wearing a pad. I have taken a test but it has come up negative I am going to test myself again next week as my periods have always been a heavy red menstrual bleeding which has confused me in wondering what this is? I have also noticed I have gained weight, can't stand the taste of cigarettes, feel nauseated, etc so could I possibly be pregnant. My partner and I have also have been taking pre conception tablets and I have been taking folic acid and vitamin d tablets as I have a vitamin d deficiency can anyone help me?

It sounds as though you are on the mark for what you can do right now.

How long have you been on the Clomid? If it has only been recently, keep in mind that it can often take a few cycles, and some times a change in dosage will be necessary to see results. On occasion, an alternative medication may work better. Do you know if you have been ovulating with the Clomid? Have you had additional monitoring?

Has your partner had fertility testing as well? Things can change even if you have had children prior.

The brownish discharge could be your period about to come on, but see what happens over the next week as you had planned.
