My child been very weak and tired and pale not is self had tonsil surgery 3 weeks ago took to the er Saturday say he had a virus put him on antibiotic told me to take to his doctor if he wasn't feeling better in 4 days so I took back today to the ere cause his doctor was sick and they say virus he tired all the time he sleeps from time school out to the time I got wake him up for school the next day I so frustrated what should I do

I think he should be home from school. He's tired from the infection, and antibiotics make many people tired too. All in all, he should be resting and kept warm and be given clear soups and lukewarm drinks.
I wouldn't give him just iron unless a doctor says to. A multivitamin with minerals is better. And a healthy diet, which he needs now more than ever. (And ice cream as a treat for his throat, of course.)
Maybe the doctor could order another blood panel. That will cover a lot.
BTW antibiotics do nothing for viruses. They are for bateria. There is nothing for respiratory viruses. But he could have a bacterial infection after all this time, due to the surgery and his weakened state.
He should gargle with warm salt water every hour or so, if he's old enough to gargle, and brush his tongue with toothpaste when he brushes his teeth.

I agree, does his doctor not have others in a group to see him, the ER is not always the best for standard illness.
But yes I agree, stay home, get well, get more tests from his doctor
