Okay so I used to be christian, like really into it. Afterwards I became a skeptic, I didn't believe in anything unless it could be proven to me and I didn't want to believe anything that was non-scientific. So, the problem is that recently I've begun seeing things that aren't really there, like I guess you could say they could be described as "ghosts" or what not but I don't believe in that crap. Is there any way to prove that this is maybe just an overactive imagination and I'm not going crazy or something. I really don't believe in the supernatural but if this is something not natural it might just blow up my brain so to speak. I need some way to prove that this isn't supernatural that it's just... I don't know... I don't want to be crazy either. Any input would be appreciated.

You are not going crazy - you are simply opening yourself up to other "dimensions". Sounds like you are trying different things to discover you who really are and what YOUR truth really is. You've tried Christian, now Skeptic - how about trying Psychic, and see how you like that? It may be your "calling" after all. :)

You can have a lot of fun and interesting experiences with your new found ability. I'd say go for it and try not to feel afraid, ashamed, angry or any other emotion because of it.

I used to go to a bible college and I would hear children playing and running around the building when I was closing it and no one else was there. Sometimes I'll see someone sitting in a chair when no one is really there. I'll talk and it won't be me. That sounds really weird but there it is, sometimes it'll be like I can carry on a conversation with myself but not myself. Yeah, this sounds crazy, maybe I'm just overreacting to things?

It is not crazy at all. There are many unexplained things in this world. You went from one extreme to another extreme. Maybe God, or Spirits. Whatever you may call different experiences are now coming to you. To try to open you up. Trying to get your attention that hey yes this stuff does exist. You do not need scientific proof. Scientists are human so our theories are just as good as a man that puts them through. Believing takes faith. Believing in these experiences take faith. There is a higher knowledge there is something bigger then all of us. Can anybody explain that? No.

So either go with it, or ignore it more. I am thinking the more you're a skeptic the more you try to not believe it or look for proof that it does not exist. You will continue to have these experiences.

No, you're not crazy. But PROVING God or the paranormal is something people have been onto for years... and it's come down to this... it is always going to be a personal experience. Yes, there are very good arguments for both... but it is ALWAYS going to boil down to the personal level. God is not going to force Himself on you and the paranormal will ALWAYS be explained away by a skeptic. Just because you are seeing things does not mean your are psychic... and looking down that path will only open up that spirit more. May I ask what about Christianity failed for you?

I have looked into the history of the church only to find that it is rooted in polytheism. If you trace protestant christianity back to it's root it begins with Catholicism. If you trace it back to it's root claims, the biblical Jesus was jewish, if you trace back his beliefs you'll find that judaism has it's roots in the egyptian myths, which are polytheistic. To take it back even further you find that the egyptian mythology is actually based upon babylonian and sumerian beliefs and that's about as far back as we go. Not only that I have been lied to so many times by some idiot behind a pulpit that it drove me crazy. The church also has such a history of hypocrisy that it makes me sick. It only seems to follow it's own rules when it is beneficial for it. George Carlin: "Religion takes in billions of dollars, it doesn't pay any taxes, and it always needs a little more." Now I'm not against the entire idea of religion, I believe that there is an intelligent designer but that's about as far as it goes. I'm not here to have my religion changed or have an evangelist try to witness to me but to try to find out what the issue is I'm having.

It isn't so much about changing ones religion. While religion deals with the spirit of mankind... and paranormal activity also deals in the spirit world... religion and these experiences are bound to cross paths. Helping people on here isn't about changing people to my belief system... I don't get a commission check from the church for converts... however, as I believe very much that these events and Christianity go hand in hand, I do have to put my advice out there. Of course it is 100% your choice who you listen to and everyone has to be OK with that. Obviously mine is not the only view on this forum and that is how the world operates. But if I can add this, I believe you are discounting Christianity's truth in this due to some terrible examples of Christians and some not so good history research. Good luck with your search and be safe!
