I watched last night's debate. It's the first one I've watched.

I think that Newt and Ron Paul are the smartest of the bunch - and they have the best ideas - but neither of them win points on the charisma scale.

Herman Cain flip flops too much. It blows my mind that he is so high in polls (http://2012.republican-candidates.org/).

Mitt Romney is the most liberal of the bunch.

Perry is a whiner - and stretches the truth.

Bachmann is smart, good looking and charismatic, but I'm not sure that the country is ready for her.

My money and best wishes are with Ron Paul at this point.

Comments, anyone?

Take the poll and let's see how we compare to the more popular polls.
(I left Johnson and Roemer off the poll since they are so low in national polls - and so that I could leave room for an undecided)

I would be more inclined to support Paul if he lived in the real world with his foreign policy positions.

Is the question.. who I like best ;who I think the best President would be ;who has the best chance of beating Obama (a must in my view) ;or who is closest to my political philosophy ?

Not sure so I'll answer all
Who do I like best... Cain.. I like his story ;but it is clear he's not ready for prime time.

Who I think the best President would be (gag)... Romney has the best balance of executive and private sector experience even though I have many disagreements with his policy positions.
Who I think would have the best chance of beating Obama... unclear... I think the best Republican arguments are diluted with a Romney candidacy. Obamacare was Romneycare 1st . He also was Governor and at watch when his state was the 1st in the nation to regulate carbon . One of his chief advisors at the time of the enactment was John Holdren... President Obama's assistant for science and
Technology(Science Czar) .

Holdren is a Malthusian and has openly advocated the reduction of the US economy to save the planet. That he is an advisor of any President is bizarre.. That he advised a Republican Governor on environmental issues almost disqualifies Romney.

Who is closest to me philosophically.. probably Santorum and Bachmann.

As ususal the Republican selected will not be my 1st choice (she has already declared she's not running) .Too bad Thad McCotter didn't get a fair shake. He would've jumped to near the top of all the criteria I just mentioned .

Anyone that can sing "imagine there is no pizza" that well has my vote. Seriously, I can't get too excited about any of them and I imagine it will be like the last election, the lesser of two evils.

The President has set the bar so low a gnat could hurdle it with room to spare. His good luck is that he has to run against the GOP .His bad luck is that he has to run against the GDP.

Its still too early for me to single one out... there are actually a couple I like more than the others at this point...

I'll vote for whoever comes out on top. Any of them will do a far better job than the guy we have in office now.

I hear you. I'm thinking that Alfred E. Newman could do better than the one that we have now.

If it wasn't for all the liberal vandals out there, I'd put an Anyone But Obama sticker on my car. Or ALL of these.. yes it would completely cover my car

I was joking. I would not go that far. There is at least one Republican candidate that I am pretty convinced would NOT do better than our current President.

There are many vandals out there that call themselves conservative, too.

True.. but not as many. Last election thre were a lot of cars with McCain/Palin stickers vandalized in this area, but only one Obama/Biden.

I don't consider all of the candidates equal at this point, but even the one I like least I think would still be an improvement, not what I'd like to see, but still an improvement. I honestly haven't seen enough yet to decide for myself which I like best personally.

The guy I liked best last election dragged his feet and lollygagged himself out of the running (Fred Thompson).

Consider moving to a better neighborhood. You know with true conservatives, who hate socialism except on the first of the month when the checks come out, or who hate the government except the first of the month when the checks come out. You know those conservatives, who hate the government getting in their business, but want them in the gay guys business. You know those conservatives. Just move to a safer neighborhood, away from all those vandalizing liberals.

Still looking for my Elect Obama sign, disappeared a few years ago, so I feel your pain. To bad you won't be as entertained by the democratic primary, as I am by the republican one. That would surely raise your spirits.

They can move to a different neighborhood... instead of dragging ours down... they are welcome to move to DC where they already drug everything into the dirt.

And if I catch anyone touching my car or property... I'll slice their brakelines halfway through... not call the cops.

Gee the real problem is the Liberals can't stand to listen to anyone who's opinion differs from what they wish to impose on others. After all Obama is the Messiah, and not doing and believing every word he reads off his TelePrompter is akin to blasphemy.

I suppose you would be happier if it was an offshoot of "The NEW Republic" Which publication basks in the fantasyworld of liberalism with no grounding in facts or reality that makes NPR look positively Centrist.

Liberals believe their way is the only way. Sort of like bitpartisanship, they only believe in it when its working in their favor.
