Am I wrong. In 2012 cola with increase the average monthly Social security check
By $35.00 a month. But those seniors who are paying $96.50 a month for Medicare, will
Now be charged $113.00 in 2012 approx. An $18.50 increase. So they will not be getting $35.00
They will receive only $18.50 monthly increase after the new medicare increase.

Advantage plans I do not know how they work?

I read that SS MIGHT increase - I didn't read that that is definite. Where did you see that it is?

I don't understand what you are asking. Are you questioning the figures you've posted? This is not the first time SS has gone up and Medicare has gone up a larger amount, resulting in a smaller SS check.

Or are you asking about advantage plans? If so, where?

Thank you for confirming my suspicion that the Medicare increase
Will diminish the COCA increase 3.5% in January 2012.

Advantage plans take your medicare premium so instead of $96.50
It would be $113.00 in 2012. Last year I had an operation that cost $100,000
I paid 0. Hollywood, Fl The bills were split between Medicare and the HMO Medicare supplement
