My refrigerator is leaking a brown sticky substance from underneath.
It looks like syrup and doesn't have an odor. It is14 years old. What could it be?

When you open your refrigerator or freezer, depending on what style you have, there should be a drain at the bottom. If it is in the freezer, clear away any ice around it and any that could be surrounding the coil (if yours has a internal access). After the inside is clean, and you do have a small drain, take a flexible wire or some sort of handy thing around the house and run down the drain. Do not force or be rough. A lot of those drains are just silicone or plastic tubes.
After that is done or if you didn't have it, turn the fridge around to the back. You should be able to see where the tube comes out of the back and may travel down the bottom of fridge and under. Most have a little access there. Take something and gently clean it most of the time it is stopped up. Mine did the same thing for about 6 months. I fiddled with it and got it fixed. I haven't had a problem since...

You need to wash it out with plenty of water and that will cure it. DrTom4444
