How old is he and how long has this ben going on? Is he drinking lots of water?

Vomiting after eating is usually caused by some sort of gastric upset, which doesn't always have to start in the stomach.

For example: there could be a foreign object anywhere in the digestive tract, a bowel obstruction, ulcers, malignancies (often of the stomach), kidney or liver problems, upsets in the intestines from a variety of things.

Among it's many other jobs, the process of vomiting is mediated by the Vagus nerve and it's branches, which runs from the brain clear down the intestinal tract. It is involved in the normal peristaltic motion of the intestine, and can also send 'distress' messages backwards to stop or slow peristalsis and, in the case of the stomach, reverse directions.

While these are just potential problems, there are others, I suspect. But it is beyond our capability to be any more specific than "I guess", or "could be".

One thing we can be specific about is that this is something to see the vet about. Continued vomiting will lead to another problem which only makes things worse... dehydration. Call for an appointment as soon as you can.

At the bottom of your latest post does it read Quote User and also Edit or just Quote User? AMHD comes in 2-3 forms or types of formats. You may be using a format that doesn't allow editting.

Ah ha ! I see the problem... the title has the problem of diarrhea in it.. only. But, the body of the question (however small it is) only mentions 'can't keep things DOWN, not IN. Not real vindication, but I feel not so foolish now. Inflammatory Bowel Disease ( IBD) comes to mind. And I will refrain from a wearisome explanation of how that works.. too lengthy and not real specific. So, I will simply send you a link covering the topic. Basically, all persistent diarrheas eventually cause thoughts of this, so it isn't a bad place to start.

As you may not have noticed in my previous bad answer, part of it is still good advice... go to that same vet you would have, if vomiting were the problem.
