I am trying to find the name of a movie that is likely from the 1940s. It is a about a pirate who sails into a cove to loot and steal jewelry, silver etc from rich people. It is set in about 1800s France or England. The pirate loots the home of the local governor (very wealthy and older man) but falls in love with his young wife. She too is infatuated with him and starts some mid-day rendezvous. She has young children so is torn about seeing him and falling in love with him. The nursemaid knows she is meeting someone, but not who. In one scene, the pirate enters their home while they are having a dinner for other wealthy people. The pirate steals the jewels and gold from everyone, but leaves her earrings which casts some suspicion. She does not love her husband, but loves her 3 yound children. He asks her to go away with him as he is sailing away soon and loves her. It would mean leaving her children and the wealthy and comfortable life she has known. In the end, she hugs her children and steals off in the night to meet him. In the final scene she is on his ship, in his arms, sailing away. Any clue what the name of this movie is?
