My 1993 Honda Accord ran out of gas and I think I tried starting it too many times. And I think I killed the battery then I put some gas in it and gave it a jump and still didn't start. And now it just makes a click sound. What could be the problem?

. Remove and fully charge the battery--most auto parts stores will do this for free.

. Put in more than a token amount of gas; otherwise, it won't start and you run the risk of burning out the fuel pump. Additionally, start the car the following way. Turn the ignition switch to ON (Position II), until the fuel pump stops running. Then, turn it OFF. Repeat this process three more times. This will ensure the fuel rail is fully pressurized, which is necessary for the engine to start. Finally, turn the ignition switch to START--it should fire right up.

The starter solinoid is bad now, and you might have oxidized the battery to not get a blasting charge to your starter. Best to do is get new starter 70.00-85.00 clams and get new battery 85.00 clams. (also have alternater checked) do not take it out until you get new battery and starter plays its games again if starter fails alternater is not charging battery and you can catch weak link in chain.
