I am subletting to a coworker at house with the lease solely in my name. He is constantly late with the rent, steals my food, and is very messy. The lease that I have with my landlord, allows me to sublet. Because of his behavior, my fiancˇ, who is pregnant, gets very stressed out. My fiancˇ is diagnosed as bi-polar and has anxiety attacks. Lately she has become very stressed out because of my roommates behavior. There has been a few occasions where my roommate has gotten drunk and made her feel uncomfortable. I believe this stress is a danger to my fiancˇ and my unborn child. How do I get rid of my roommate legally as quick as possible and as cheap as possible?

Where do you live, eviction laws vary but that is what you need to do, evict him. If he won't leave on his own use the law to help you oust. Eviction Process by State (http://www.evictionresources.com/eviction_process.html)

If rent is not being paid you can give a pay or quit notice. How long you can give before you can file for eviction depends on your locality. ANY question on law needs to include your general locale as laws vary by area.
