We were paid semi-monthly and now have switched to bi-weekly. We only have 6 pay period left in the year (same as if we were semi-montly). My salaried employees only will get 24 paychecks this year. Do I keep their slaries the same so it will match the salary amount on file or adjust it to what it would be on a 26 pay period.

If their salary is annual, you have to adjust the salary so thet get their annual salary.

Do you know a Regulation or were I can find this in writing so I can take it to our Finance Department for proof?

If you have anything that states that you are being paid $x/year, then that's what your total annual salary should be. If it states per week or month you may be out of luck.

Check with your local dept of labor for statutes.

I know, but I need a Regulation or Law or something to back up my argument that the salaries need to stay where they are since the employees need to have their annual salary paid to them by the final check in 2011. I can't get her to understand this.

So check with your local Dept of Labor. But I doubt if there is a law that specifically states this. Make her prove she can do it.
