I have a Goulds JRD5 Convertible water pump. Well is 28 ft. Deep but is located 35 ft. From the house. I have 2 lines running to the well with foot valve and jet down in the water. Pump has been working fine for several years. Can not get over 30 PSI out of the pump now for some reason. Don't know if it's the pump for jet down in the well. New pressure gauge. How can I determine what is causing low pressure from the pump.

When you shut the pump off does the gage drop to zero? Does the pump keep running attempting to bring it up to the cut off point? What's the cut in/cut out setting on your control box. Back to you, Tom

Pump is currently running continuously at 25 lbs. Pump does not drop back to zero when I turn it off. Gauge remains at 25 lbs. I pretty sure I have a 20 (cut in) - 40 (cut out) lb. pressure switch.
