I am the despondent, the case started in so cal. Since then both petitioner and myself and the child have moved to nor cal. Neither she nor I have the funds to keep going down there. There is a hearing on this Thursday. I can not make it and I am sure she can not either. How can I file for the change of venue from 500 miles away? And will the court allow it?

It's respondent, not despondent, although I can understand the confusion.

So all of the parties have moved to another jurisdiction? Am I correct?

Yes, you can ask for a change of venue. Have you asked the Court Clerk about changing?

Thank you for your reply Judy. I am typing from my phone, it's a typo. Yes she moved almost two years ago and I moved last January. I have not yet. I plan to call the clerk on Tuesday since Monday is a holiday. The hearing is on Thursday, what is the form I file, and can I get it off the internet?

... There is a hearing on this Thursday. I can not make it ...

Rather than frustrating the court by now showing up, it would be best if you would call the clerk's office (or the judge's secretary), and arrange a telephonic hearing.

Since the hearing is on Thursday there is no calling and asking for anything really other then an extension. You must apply for a hearing by telephonic means. Its not something they do on an impromptu basis. Also one or more of the parties needs to show up so the caller can be verified.
