I have a Hampton Bay ceiling fan with remote control. Can I convert my ceiling fan to manual--pull chain control? Is so, how? (my receiver has burned out)

Receiver burn-out is pretty unusual. Have you replaced the batteries correctly. You can convert to manual but you need to drop the fan and remove the remote control harnass. I believe all Hampton Bay fans come with a pull string for lights and fan.

Receiver burned out is not unusual AT ALL.

If the fan has pullchains you can convert it to manual. If it does not you will have to replace the receiver or replace the fan.
