I have a bedroom with a 20 amp circuit in which the lights will flicker as I increase the load with a few lights, fan and flat panel TV. The 20 amp circuit should take the load easily. However, in a short time the power goes out in the room for a few seconds and then comes on again, but the breaker has not been tripped. I replaced the beaker, but the problem continues.

There is a loose connection somewhere in the circuit. Can be at any receptacle, switch, light outlet, or junction box, however the path of the wiring runs.

Knowing how the circuit runs can be the challenge.

Takes opening each box and checking each splice and wire connection on devices.

A popular reason for loose connections are wires stripped and pushed into small holes on the back of receptacles.
