My cat seems to barf a lot. She sometimes barfs food, most times spit or nothing. Today, She was trying to barf (body convulsing, squishing noises) and she brought up some spit, got up, walked away and then did it over again. She did this (spitting up, walking away, spitting up again) for about 5 minutes. Sometimes she didn't bring up anything at all. Can anyone help me? This happens often.

It sounds like she has hairballs. Get some hairball remedy and feed it to her once a day until it passes. If you can't make it to a store, yet, then a teaspoon of butter or margarine will work.

If this is a chronic problem, then you should think about switching to a hairball prevention food, and probably brushing her more often.
