I had an Endometrial Ablation 5 yrs ago. Since that time I have been having recurrent ovarian cysts in my right ovary that burst, seep and cause so much pain I always end up in the ER. Tests they have run have found some of the cysts to be "abnormal" but not cancerous. I am considering having my right ovary removed to stop this. Is this a feasible solution for this?

I feel for you -I know what a pain (literally) cysts can be. You need to look at other areas of your life to make this decision: do you have children? Do you want them? I would talk more to your OB/GYN. Your doc will be able to further help you make this decision. Having cysts already reduce your chance of becoming pregnant -if you remove an ovary your chances will drop even more. I've had cysts on both sides -I'm assuming yours are always on your right? Another question to ask your doc would be about the chances of them occurring on your left. I hope this helped!

What options has your OB/GYN offered? Another procedure?
Are you on any medication for the problem?

I would assume your doc put you on the pill or another form of birth control to regulate your cycle and prevent the cysts?
