My ex boyfriend is on 3yrs probation, restraining order against me until 2013, suspended 3yr prison sentence. All domestic violence but basically drugs. He threw a candle at my arm first time, and second was gone on a run 3days so I called the police. We had a peaceful restraining order in the start but with his drug use it didn't last. He served 6 months (4) last yr, and finish another 6 months (4) 8/27/11. Were both clean & sober, he followed the probation and restraining order until we ran into each other at an AA mtg 9/20/11. He's homeless, broke, bi-polar, but is winning an SSI appeal for monies and a future. Stupid me thought it would be a good idea to take him from California to Idaho (9/21)to see his parents. He's mother is not well and this whole lifestyle of drugs/jail has given her a nervous breakdown. On the way back (Oregon)I asked him to drive & he got a speeding ticket & suspended license which I didn't know. Probation officer knows the situation, not to bail him out, and clean business up in Oregon. He left without permission so it's a violation. I am responsible as well. What could happen?

Nothing can happen to you for his leaving the state while on probation. The restraing order may be a different matter since you did let him stay with you. And as for his winning a SSD matter, he would have no idea if he was winning it or not as that information is not disclosed to the person until the appeal is either denied or granted. He was just blowing smoke at you on this hoping you'd believe he was coming into money. And if he does go to jail, he will be ineligible to receive SSD benefits while he is incarcerated.
