I have a warrant in Michigan and want to get an id card in Iowa will I be arrested at the Iowa dmv if I try and get an identification card?

Most of the drivers testing facility employees have no power of arrest, so they will not arrest you. They may of course call the police, or when your ID is processed let the local police know where to find you latter.
Next it is hard to say if you would be arrested even if found. You did not say what type of crime this is for.
Often you may be detained and a choice made not to pay for your transport, this happens all the time if your warrant is not for a serious crime.
But can you be caught and arrested if you go, yes you can be.

No its not a serious crime its for not paying all my fines for a dui in Michigan... I talked to some friends and they said you could get an identifcation card just not a license?

ID card and license run though the same computer system.
There is no real difference, apply for one, will be the same as the other for the warrant being checked.

Well I will find out tomorrow what happens because I have to get a new id because mine expires this month and I can't work with an expired one. Hopefully nothing happens.

So what ended up happening?
