I purchased a car from a individual the other day. He assured me the car was driveable and in pretty good condition. He did say the car would need minor work but not anything that needed to be done right now. He said to me it was driveable and run good, and the only thing wrong was it could use some axles and he would suggest not to drive it with the axles that were on it. He started it up and it sounded really good, but after I gave him my money and he replaced the axles is when it suddenly needed calibers, brake line repair and driving codes reset to pass marta. I went to pick it up, drove it off and the brakes would not stop! I paid him my money a few days ago and the car is still not fixed to where I can drive it off. I don't know what else to do. I am at a point where I just want my money back.

Seeing that this is a private sale there is no warranty that comes with this car as it was bought as is. Basically you can't recover your money even if you decide to take the seller to court. You should have been wary of this seller when he talked about the axles having problems. What he stated were minor problems were actually safety problems that's why he wanted you to get the repairs done right away. Face it, you've been had.

Unless he gave you a written warranty, there is no warranty.

And axles are not minor issues, and you have or should have had the car inspected by a independent mechanic
