Ok, I recently got a new computer, and I wanted to use the old computer, (my old computer is a 2005 Dell, with Windows XP) in my game room so I could hook it up to the TV in there. So I did some research and I bought a HD 15 to 3 RCA Cable RGB Component Video Cable. I got it today in the mail. So I went up to the game room, hooked it up, and no picture came through. I need help?

Make sure the TV is correctly tuned to accept the signal input from the RGB connection from the computer.

Once you have done that you need to make sure the computer is sending a signal to the TV. This is done within the display settings to either Extend your desktop or clone to the other screen, choice is yours.

Also make sure that the resolution is set correctly on the computer.

If your TV is an HDTV, you need to find out what resolutions it supports. If it is not an HDTV, then you will need to use 640x480. Which by the way, will not be very easy to use your computer on.

Is it a laptop?
