In communication process what is feedback & response?

I can't believe the dumb questions they ask in schools.
Think about various kinds of online communication, such as a shopping site like Amazon, or a social site like Facebook. Feedback is less personal than a response to a more involved question. (Again, this is dumb, since feedback is a response, so I can't even bring myself to respond more. My feedback to the professor: zero rating for dumb.)
