Has enyone ever applied to the State property fund ? They have uncollected assets, and you can supposedly apply for them, and collect Property & assets left behind by friends or relatives. How hard is it to collect these funds ? What kind of application process do you have to go through, and what kind of legal papers do you need as proof. Supposedly, a 401k was left to me, but it is also listed as a Bank Fund. I thought that this was immediately available,as is a life insurance policy? I also have reason to believe that some kind of life insurance policy was left to me by my Son. The only beneficiaries that were listed, were myself and my Daughter. Even though he lived with my ex when he passed away,we were the only ones listed. My ex had talked him into another policy 3 yrs before he passed very tragically at his house."My ex" (He wasn't anyone you want to meet in a dark alley, that's for sure) Very suspicious death...

If you know the name of the insurance company, call them up and talk to them about this.

And as for the government = they don't just give "friends" someone else's stuff - family members only. Sorry. You would have to go onto their site and figure out what kind of paperwork or proof you would need as well.

STOP, and I will say stop again, posting the same question over and over and over ( did I say over) They are deleted and/or merged.

Ok, if funds go to the state, there is a state agency that will list your name and info, you contact them to see if there are any funds in your names.

Normally if it is insurance you have to find that company, so look at the paper work, call up the insurance company or 401 company and ask if there is an account.
