I'm almost at 34 weeks. It's me again!

The past 3 or 4 weeks, I've been getting period-like cramps, some of them are quite bad, one lasted about 10 mintues last week and now they've just been on and off a few times a day.

I've been reading up on 'Braxton Hicks', nothing says they're like period pains though, so just wondering if anyone knows what they are, or are they in fact 'Braxton Hicks'?

Thanks guys. :)

It is possible that they are just braxton hicks. When I was pregnant with my three yr old though I had been having some pains that were in the vicinty of my ovaries and my dr said it was the ligaments due to added weight and pressure, or nerve issues that wer harmless due to the pressure of the baby. I wuld say call your dr office and run it by them. No question is too silly. You are near the end and an answer may not mke it stop, but may ease your neves and or curiosity.

Good luck.

Make sure you are staying hydrated. I tell my patients that these are "practice contractions." Your body is just getting ready for labor. Should be nothing to worry about.

Yup, it's called round ligament pain.
