Im a painter,but in the state of Florida I need a license,and I can't afford a license because I can't get any freekin work,is there a way to get around that,please help-wesley

You should have at least liability insurance though.

There have to be plenty of unlicensed painters and handymen in Florida.

To do this legally you will need at least. If you don't do it legally, there are chances you could do the work and the people would not have to pay you. There defense to non payment would be you were not licensed and there for your work was illegal, You can't collect on illegal activity.

Next insurance, if you do any damage, and you can't pay the 100 or few 100 dollars for a license, can you pay a few 1000 for damages.

Wes, you best bet may be to get a job with an existing paint contractor, just to get you started. He would have the license and bonding required by most folks and maybe you'd get health too.
