You're at the perfect age to be a terrific babysitter. Little kids will love you because you will play with them and make them feel important, parents will love you because you are at a responsible age, and your parents will love you for stretching yourself into the world of work.
Check at the park district or even at an area hospital for classes. Or even better, call your local library's reference department to ask who gives classes.
You would be smart to take a first-aid class and even get a CPR certificate. That would really make you valuable as a sitter.
Do you have any experience taking care of younger siblings or cousins?
