Im 14 and have never had sex, but I have constant yellow discharge that smells funny.. I was wondering if I could have gotten an std from swimming etc.. Could I just have an infection cause it never burns or hurts when I put tampons in or anything. Should I see a doctor.. Should I tell my mom?

Yes, you should tell your mom and yes, you should see a doctor. It may be nothing but it's best to get it checked out and confirmed

Like justcurious said... tell your mom and go to the doctor. But more then likely it is not an STD. You can not catch STD's in a pool either so no need to worry about that :-)

Yeast infections and trichomonas ('trich') are the most common causes of discharge. Yours is most likely yeast. Any woman can get them, sexually active or not. If you turn out to get them a lot in your life, there are ways to work on diet to try for a better pH (more acidic) such as cranberry juice.
