For possession... sadly, I've done enough damage to my endocrine system that I forever need testosterone, my body no longer produces it. So I legally am perscribed the same substance I was caught with... but the doctor I see is out of state and so the perscriptions come from out of state. But they are legit and real. Can this be a violation of my probation?
Thanks

Can this be a violation of my probation?Hello G:
Yes, of course.. Looks like you just STARTED probation... I can't imagine your PO would approve, but I don't think they test for steroids. You were given conditions when you were placedon probation.. If you are precluded from using steroids, that's where it will say so.

excon I am not precluded from using steroids, obviously I cannot use illegal substances however. How could this be a violation when I have a legit script for doctor approved meds? If I was in extreme pain and was perscribed a opiate-based pain reliever, surely I would be allowed to use it as necesarry and given a pass on a dirty opiate test.
I'm worried about the goon squad searching my house (they allegedly have the right to at any time) and taking my medications... sigh, all this hassle for mere possession of testosterone, the drug war takes no prisoners.

My man, you have a lot to learn about these people... You ask a very good question... The probation department believes that there are OTHER non narcotic drugs that you can take that will do the same thing, and those are drugs that they'll approve.. Yes, they think they know better than your doctor... And, if they don't, they don't care.
I'll BET they'll say the same thing about your steroids, notwithstanding what your doctor told you... But, that's WHY I mentioned that they DON'T test for steroids, so if YOU don't mention them, it may NEVER come up.

I see you know nothing about probation, no you can not use it without notification to the PO and their approval.
And you can not use any controlled substance without their permission. * i.e. your pain medications
Also the fact it is coming from out of state ( what state ? When was the last time you physcialy saw that doctor )
Most likely they will want you to see a local doctor and perhaps if they feel you did not shop for a doctor who will just give it to you.
But often no they will not even allow legal use of the drug you were charged with.
You see to believe the PO people, 1. care, 2, are there to help you 3. and follow common sense ?
Heavens you have a lot to learn
The fact that these steroids are coming from out of state is suspicious at best.
Why are you going out of state to see this doctor?

yea they don't test for them, but I'm worried if they randomly search my house they will find them and take away my medications if nothing else... and I go to a out of state doc cause I am not from the state I live in

"not from the state you live in" ? Of course you are, if you live there you are from there now. So you need to find new doctors and things where you are there
i go to a out of state doc cause i am not from the state i live in
That's only making you sound more suspicious. Time to get a doctor where you live.
