I am an unwed mother. The judge ordered visitation to a registered sex offender with convictions of sexual battery, kidnapping, carry concealed weapon, eluding police, and a host of drug related arrest. First I was advised to file incorrectly by the courts because I didn't have to. I already had custody here in California. It is the putative dad who must prove through paternity. My day at the hearing I was asked by the judge of why I was in his court room. He said it was for married people. However rather then the judge dismissing my case and informing the putative dad of what he needed to do to gain visitation like file a document proving paternity. This judge heard and ruled over my case granting the sex offender visitation rights. The judge ordered that my son spend 15 days with the offender in the state in which the offender lives which is Florida. The judge ordered that the offender send round trip flight information to me by email. I never received flight information from the offender. Instead I received an email from the offender saying that his sister would come to get my son for him. I refused this because it was not the judges order. The offender then sent me an email saying that he would come to my state to get my son. Although this is still not the judges order I did not want it to appear that I was not following orders so I had the offender meet me in front of a police station. The offender still had no round trip flight tickets. CPS got involved in which the offender made reservations for a ticket after speaking with him and was ordered by cps to go to Florida and no other state and I was ordered to turn over my son. During the time the offender was suppose to depart I found out that the ticket was cancelled and refunded. All in all the offender has made reservation on 5 to 6 different tickets in which I have verified were all cancelled . Long story short he is just making bogus reservations has has not return to Florida as ordered by the judge or cps. The offender is continuing with many bogus reservation instead went to another state as the tickets indicate California some say Nevada. An ex- part'e has been filed what will happen with this? Can they get him on something. I don't know where my son is or if he is okay

So you turned over your son, but he hasn't taken him back to FL. Has the 5 days expired? If the father has not been in contact with you and your child is not where he is supposed to, I would talk to the police about issuing an amber alert.

In the meantime, follow up on the ex parte to get an emergency order to return the child.

Not sure what court you went to, but custody or visits or child support has nothing to do with being married or not married.

If you were to file for support, you would have had to prove or have him accept paternity.

It is obvious you had no attorney,
