Hello l:

It's difficult to say... However, he'll probably be sentenced on the new charges and DO that time, and THEN he'll face a violation on the present charges. On THE violation, they'll probably make him do his ENTIRE underlying sentence in jail.

I would say he will go to jail for at least the 3 1/2 years probation violation, that will go along with the new sentence.
** same crime,? Someone hurt the first time I guess since you say no one hurt this time.

My guess will be 5 to 7 years prison sentence, serve about 4 and get parole if he behaves in prison

It's been only 6 months since the first offense? Whether someone was hurt is a bit meaningless, the intent was there and I guess threatening, that's assault. Jail time? Don't believe probation will go this time. Depends on sentencing guidelines and how the judge feels about what appears to be repeat felony behavior.

Read it again, I think there was 3 1/2 years probation, he has been on it for two years and still has * or had* 1 1/2 years to go.

But to attacks with a weapon, My guess is big time jail

Yes, I think you are right on both cases.
