Turned on cold water and was a loud, popping noise, then no more cold water. Hot still works. This is a Delta single kitchen faucet. Before this happened, in using spray hose, both sprayer and faucet ran at same time. This happened once before right after moving in 11 years ago. Builders plumbers repaired within 15 monutes. Did'nt see what they had done. Thank you.

You may have dirt in the cold port of the faucet, here is what you need to do, close the angle valves under the sink, remove the handle and the cartridge, Place a towel on top of the faucet and open the angle valve slowly one at a time for a few seconds to flush out the dirt, once it is flushed assemble the cartridge and the handle, check if works, good luck.

using spray hose, both sprayer and faucet ran at same time. This tells me that the problem's in the diverter. This is located in the front after removing the spout assembly. To tell you more I need the make and model number of the faucet, Also its age. Cheers, Tom
