OK I went to the doctor last week and they told me I had some infected teeth. They gave me anitibiotics and I started feeling better the next day. I am still taking my meds but I have missed 2 doses. Now I am having the same symptoms I was when I first went to the doctor. Does this mean that the antibiotics are not working? Before I went to the doc, my face was swelled, my ear hurt, my neck was swelled up and I was having severe migraines and pain behind my eyes. Well no I am having some of those symptoms again, even being on antibiotics. What should I do?? Help

You said you missed two doses. You are the one messing up the antibiotic's ability to cure the infection, so that symptoms are returning. Please take the antibiotic faithfully! Do not skip doses. Finish out the entire time you are supposed to take it.

Yes it can, your missing medication can cause infection to last longer or need additional medication. IF you are not well after finishing the medication return to your doctor

You still have to see a dentist. The underlying problem isn't going to go away, and the infection will just return.

Go back to your dentist. Have him check your bite to make sure you aren't grinding or clenching your teeth. Tooth infection can cause many health problems. Make sure you deal with the teeth once the infection is cleared up as the infection can return.
