How do you silence the clicker in a turn signal

As annoying as this sound is it is not best to silence this noise. When your signal lights burn out the noise is not present alerting you to changing the bulb.

You can't... but why would you want to?

Well it really depends on the make and model.
Rolls Royce, Maybach and other top end cars have very restrained tickers, after all you can't possibly disturb the passengers now can you..

Wind the window down and use hand signals.

OR you can turn it on and let it run out of "blinky juice".

Not a smart idea, to say the least. Turning signals make noise for a purpose. It's likely illegal to silence turning signals--you may incur some legal liability and the car may not pass inspection.

What is your purpose in wanting to do it?

Wow... what a d***... I answer his question by telling him it can't be done and I get a negative from him. Is it my fault it can't be done? Oh, he negged me because I asked why he would want to... after I said it can't be done. Go somewhere else with your stupid question and see how far you get.

Actually it can be done, I don't hear mine, For whatever reason, it is silent. Or I am deaf?
You could run 2 or 3 wires from the existing location to under the hood.
Tx mentions it is illegal, I didn't know that.

Twinkie "When your signal lights burn out the noise is not present alerting you to changing the bulb."

In the old days when a bulb went out, it would stop flashing, Now when a bulb burns out it does a quick flash.

In my car the noise is louder and blinks faster when the light burns out.

If you moved to Virginia where I used to live, no one uses them. Problem solved!

I wonder if the OP has changed the blinker fluid?

Blinky juice is an OTR trucker joke telling the guy ahead of him to turn off his blinkers or they'll run out of blinky juice.

It's also an Alaskan joke. As well as changing the air in your tires from summer air to winter air.
