My main breaker box every now and then chirps. What could be causing this. The box and all the wiring look to be in good, clean condition

Don't know of anything in a breaker panel that could chirp. Any smoke detectors near by? Any special equipment that would send a signal by chirping should be on the outside of the panel. Any special devices on panel?
