I dyed my hair black about 8 months ago and hated it so I when to a professional and she put in highlights to break it up... well those turned burnt orange so I dyed my hair medium brown to see if I could fix the highlights and get the black out but, it didn't work... can someone please tell me how to get the black out of my hair without ruining it!? :(

If I were you I'd go to a different salon and tell the beautician to put a toner in your hair before dying it brown. This will allow your hair to relax from the dye damage and give you a more natural look. If that doesn't work, get a hair cut and wait for it to grow out :(

A toner is known as hair color. They are use to neutralize brassy shades or it can be used after the hair is bleached to create a natural look. Toners will not lighten or remove dark pigment from the hair. Your hair will need to be bleached or stripped to remove the black pigment. If your hair is in bad condition, avoid using harsh chemicals. I recommend going to a salon and have a hairstylist check your hair to determine if it's okay to bleach or dye it. If your hair is in good porosity, then they will correct your hair color.
