I am out of work and I don't have a car to get around what are my chances of getting a grant so I will be able to get a car and a home improvement grant?

Slim to none. Doesn't matter if you're a convicted felon or not just simply nobody is going to give you a grant to get a car. I'd be driving a Porsche if that's all it took.

Grants are not as easy as they are made out to be. And being a felon does not put you into any special "class" that would qualify you more than a nonfelon.
