I'm 24 years old and have been working since I left school. I can't stand working in the job I'm in anymore. I'm bored to death and my work doesn't promote people. You can't get moved to a different area either, its not a large business. I did well in school and always got good grades. I just didn't know what to do after high school. I know I can do better I just need direction. What can I do?

It's not a good idea in these tough economic times to quit a job without having another to go to, so let's explore the possibilities.
Are you male or female? (I'm guessing female based on your nic.)
What are your interests?
What do you like to do? (work with people or work alone? Do large-muscle jobs/move around a lot or sit at a desk? Be creative or do routine/rote work?)

Yes I'm female, I'm freaking out because its seems like everyone my age has already gone to school and left home. I didn't want to be this old and still living at home.
I borrowed a book from the library and it was the most helpful thing I've read so far. My strengths are artistic and creative careers. I always enjoyed doing textiles/sewing. I regret not doing this in VCE [last years of high school]. My other strength is sales and marketing, P.R etc.
Being a flight attendant also interests me. I've looked into it and I know I make the requirements.

Have you explored that field? My sil works as a travel agent and gets free trips and accommodations occasionally plus discounts on flights. Get your foot in the door and go from there.
And you're not locked into a lifetime commitment whatever you do.Take baby steps at first, and when the economy improves, your steps can get bigger and more adventurous.
Keep me informed as to what you do.
