First off, haven't been on this thing in what feels like a LONG TIME. Ha.

So at my last pap smear for birth control, I found out I receieved an abnormal test result.
I did my research, finding out that the most common reason would be getting the HPV virus, & that its important to get it taken care of to prevent cervical cancer & whatnot. Right.
& that there is no cure for HPV virus.

So this is my question.
If you have HPV virus, you go to the gyno, they tell you that you have it & come back in a year for another pap, so in the meantime, whoever you have sex with is going to be infected by HPV. So basically, is there literally no way to harness it & prevent you from passing it on to others?(besides condoms & gardasil)

I'm just curious here. I haven't got the for sure if I actually have HPV, but I'm willing to bet I most likely do.

Anyone with knowledge on this or personal experience even would be appreciated.

On a different note, I read its pointless to trace to one person, & not to be crude, but it couldve been almost anyone that I've ever had sex with. & if I received it in that years time from my last pap smear, my most common sexual partner (who also sleeps with other girls) would definitely most likely have it.
So is there even any point to say anything to him? I mean its not like he can really get tested(I read most of male testing is in the experimental stage) & I mean he couldve given it to me just as easily as I couldve to him.
