I have a 1984 and a 1985 hilux petrol ute with a 3y petrol engine.
I have carby problems. It idles fast and uses lots of fuel. The usual adjustments don't seem to work very well.
Also lots of anti-pollution tubes connected to the carb.
I think the jets are mixed up. Prim, sec, step jet, slow jet etc.
The usual generic books only show pics of various carbys in the utes.
Can anybody help with pics nad details of the sizes and placement of the jets?
I have bought a Fuel Miser kit with lots of unnecessary stuff and a sketch of the layout but no specifics.

Check the single vacuum line going to the diaphragm on the side of the carb. Check to see if it's full of raw fuel. Replace or block off the diaphragm if it's wet.
Check to see if the secondary throttle plate is hanging open a bit. Looking straight down at it with engine off, it should open at half throttle to full throttle, then snap completely closed when back to closed throttle.
