I am NOT REALLY having fun with my ceiling fan, truth be told. Several months ago the pull-switch for the fan itself stopped working and I figured I'd take the light fixture off and remove the device responsible for the 3-speed adjustment. As my luck would have it the black top piece flew off and the tiny pieces inside became airborn and went their own respective directions. After finding them I tried to re-assemble them every which way I thought possible but no matter how badly I wished I could magically reconfigure them it didn't work. This idiot who lives up the street from me brought me a fan switch still in the package but it was for a huntington bay fan and unlike the broken one off my fan this part had two places for wires to be inserted, one on either side. This "idiot" that brought it to me then proceeded to insert those two wires into it and shocked the **** out of himself after I had suggested flipping the breaker supplying power to my room off saying "oh hell, i know what i'm doing...i'll have this fan fixed in no time." needless to say, I'm still at present without a working fan. Can anybody please send me via e-mail a wiring diagram for this hampton bay nightmare? Thankx for your time and hopefully effort...
