A lobster boat is situated due west of the a lighthouse. A barge is 12km south of the lobster boat. From a barge, the bearing to the lighthouse is N63 degrees 20 minutes E. how far is the lobster from the lighthouse?
Let's call the distance from the lighthouse to the lobster boat x. Meanwhile, the distance from the lobster boat to the barge is 12km. Note that the three objects form a right triangle with the barge-lighthouse line being the hypotenuse. We know the angle at the barge is 63.3333 degrees. So we can simply use tangent equals opposite over adjacent to find the length of the opposite side, x.
tan 63.3333 = x/12
Solve for x, and you're done.

A vertical antenna is mounted atop a 50-ft pole. From a point on the level ground 75 ft from the base of the pole, the antenna subtends an angle of 10.5 degrees. Find the length of the antenna. With illustration thanks :)

While visiting the Sand Dunes National Park in Colorado, Cole approximated the angle of elevation to the top of the sand dune to be 20 degrees. After walking 800 ft closer, he guessed that the angle of elevation increased by 15 degrees. Approximately how tall is the dune he was observing?

A window washer on a ladder looks at a nearby building 100 ft away, noting that the angle of elevation of the top of the building is 18.7 degrees and the angle of depression of the bottom of the building is 6.5 degrees. How tall is the nearby building?

The seats of the ferris wheel are 35 ft from the center of the wheel. When you board the wheel, you are 5 ft above the ground. After you have rotated through an angle of 765 degrees. how far above the ground are you?

You are aware that AMHD doesn't do homework, right?
I notice you don't appear to be doing ANY of your homework - 5 questions today?

I could draw you an illustration, but it's so trivial there's no need for somebody else to do it for you. Draw a dot on a piece of paper and label it "lighthouse". Then, some distance to the left (to represent west), draw another dot and label it "lobster boat". Draw a line connecting the dots, and label it "x". Now draw a third dot directly below the lobster boat (to represent south), and label it "barge". Connect the lobster boat and barge with a line and label it "12 km". Finally, draw a line connecting the barge to the lighthouse, thus completing a right triangle. Label the angle between this line and the 12 km line "63 deg 20 min". There. Now you have an illustration.

No problem. Assuming the OP even reads my post, your diagram should drive home the point of how pathetic it is to ask somebody else to draw that picture. ;)
