Some school districts don't care about the guardianship question; some don't care where you live as long as pay tuition (even in a public school) where you go to school; others allow you to live in one district and go to school in another if you pay tuition and/or provide your own transportation.

Your mom can give temporary guardianship to your aunt or anyone else. If your mom does not have full legal custody, then your father may also have to sign.

This should not cost very much money, the local Family Court can tell you what forms to sign.
