Explanation: I am trying to document that fact that the internet has vastly multiplied the capacity for transactions in society. Instead of being primarily limited to individuals transacting with organizations as either customers or employees or suppliers, now every individual in the world with internet access can transact with every other individual -- at least in potential. I am looking for any data that would reflect a substantial increase in the number of commercial transactions taking place because of the organization of the internet. I tried looking on eBay for data on number and value of transactions but did not find anything useful.
