Hello everybody, I have a legal problem.
My daughter [She has 16 years old]she went to live with her father. The problem is, that he is asking me for the Child Support of my Daughter. Is this possible? he was giving me first the child support, Does this affect me?

Can anybody giveme a legal article that talks about my problem

Thanks!

If there is a change in custody, it is suppose to happen though the court, so when he gets custody and the child goes to live with him, you would then owe child support, when done though the court.

Since you have a legal problem you should have posted in the legal forum where I moved this to.

A child cannot just up and move in with the other parent. If there is a custody and support order, then the NCP needs to go to court to get a modification of the custody and support order. Until he does, you can demand that your daughter move back in with you and he is required to continue to pay the court ordered support.

But if he does go to court for such a modification it will probably be granted and you would be required to pay support.

Also even if the child is staying with the non custody parent, they still have to pay you the court ordered child support,
